Frequently Asked Questions
What is Craft n’ Sip?
A Craft n’ Sip is just what it sounds like- A night out with friends and family to unwind and get crafty! I like to tell people I am not artistic but I am crafty- what that means to me is I cannot paint a portrait or draw a picture, but what I can do is craft like nobody’s business. I decided to bring that aspect to “N Sip” lovers.
How does a Craft n’ Sip differ from a traditional Paint and Sip?
At a Craft n’ Sip you call the shots- You register on the website with your project of choice and when you arrive at the studio your project will be waiting for you. We offer a variety of options including, mosaic wonders, sewing workshops, resin crafts and so much more.
Our pre-cut natural wood projects is where it all began and still one of our most popular nights each piece is marked where it should be attached. You pre-paint it with your choice of paint, stain, paint pen etc. then assemble your project after it is dry so no colors run into each other and your lines are crisp. Blending of colors is encouraged and we show you the techniques to get the desired result you are looking for.
Do you serve Alcohol?
The Beetch Barn is a BYOB establishment- we offer complimentary coffee, tea, and spring water and have an icemaker on the premises but do not sell any food or alcohol. Customers are encouraged to bring their own beverages and snacks.
Hi! I'm Robin, I'm kind of quirky, kind of fun and really crafty-at least I like to think so!
I started crafting to relax and unwind. I love to create! Give me an idea and I will run with it...right out to my Bleep- Barn! of course I had to keep my professional name user friendly, so I changed up the spelling a bit but hey it's much more fun than a she-shed in here!
So how did it all begin? After working my full time job I would come home take care of the family and then it was Me Time ... so off I would go to my little 8x8 pre-fab barn from Amish Mike and I would create something cute sometimes I would keep it for myself but usually someone was having a birthday or a holiday was just around the corner so I would wrap it up and give to a friend or family member as a gift, but eventually you have so many ideas in your head and you just have to branch out. One day a friend said she needed a baby gift to which I replied, "I can whip something cute up!" That something cute turned into a strong request for me to start selling, an Instagram page was made and published and the Beetchbarn was live on Instagram. My thought was I would start small and see where it would go- small skyrocketed and my first week out the door I had 25 orders in 2 days all due in 2 weeks. Not huge by some standards but for a one woman show working in an 8x8 prefab barn from Amish Mike it was a bit overwhelming. I somehow managed to get those 25 orders completed on time and then I looked around and said what am I thinking? How can I do this in 64 square feet? Anyone who knows me knows I love a challenge, but this was one of those rare moments when I thought I was in over my head.
How could I grow my little business in such a tiny space? I wasn't at a place where I could just go rent somewhere bigger and hope for success. I was in the beginning stages of what I now see as my next big thing. Lucky for me- I married a great guy who supports me and all my wackiness 100%. I told him as much as I wanted to do this, I had to be realistic and know my limits. He could have said OK and left it at that, but he didn't- He asked me what I needed to make it work. I told him I need Space, I Need Room, to move around and create. A place to have all of my machines out at the same time and all of my tools within reach. A Place where I know where things are and I don't have to spend 20 minutes looking for a paint color or a spool of thread. So that man who stutters over the word no said OK, then let’s make it happen and for Mother's day 2023 my husband gifted me with an even bigger Bleep-barn- this one has a few extra bells and whistles!
Now I have 4 different types of laser machines, 2 embroidery machines, my old faithful sewing machine, and plenty of room to creatively craft whatever anyone requests. Oh and I also stutter over the word no... because, I never say "No" to a challenge. If you have an idea, I will do my best to make it happen!
Oh, and speaking of making things happen, BIG THINGS are happening in 2024! Stay tuned for updates- I promise you will not be disappointed!
Remember those big things I mentioned? Well... What could be bigger than my very own Brick & Mortar? Yup! The Beetch Barn Craft and Sip will be the place to come and creatively craft something you can be proud to display!
